It is what separates us from other countries by allowing us to choose our leader. I always find it discouraging that people choose to complain about America's government but do not vote on it. This is something I cannot understand. No matter what views a person has they have to get out and participate in order to make a difference. Every vote counts. I see people get caught up in Democrats vs. Republicans and wonder if they actually study the candidates. It requires no effort to stick with a party without educating yourself to the person. Today it is easier than ever before to learn what the candidates support and oppose. Americans should take the time to learn this in order to become a better voter. If candidates were unable to hide behind their party then Americans would be forced to look at the person they are supporting. It is simple to decide to support a certain party and forget to check out the person your voting on.

http://www.mondaq.com/article.asp?articleid=44088&searchresults=1
